If he it weren't for him, maybe more northerners would still be in support of slavery, or some people wouldn't feel moved or changed due to his inspiring words. If he didn't talk about the issues of slavery to so many people, the Civil Rights movement might not have happened. Maybe the Underground Railroad and the abolitionist wouldn't of mustered up enough influnce to spark a flame in the hearts of the people to abolish slavery. Maybe African-American Union soliders woudn't ever been payed the same amount of money as a white Union solider if Fred never brought it to Lincoln's attention. Maybe the Emcipation Proclamation would've been worded differently if it weren't for Freddie. We might not have seen the era of blaxploitation in film, or the rise in equality in media for African-Americans.
