It protects those with disabilities in the workplace to be discriminated against or denied assistance, allowing equal opportunities. This law set the stage for the future because it is certain that a qualified person will not be discriminated against or denied access to services they may need. This paved the way for assistive technology to be made available for children in public schools because now it can be provided even if the cost would have made it not accessible.

This progress can benefit any individual with a disability because they can have an education plan that is made specifically for them that will help them succeed in their education.

Since this law, programs and other relative services have been made available to even more students than before that might have been denied education. This benefits to children in the present because it applies to a wider population as well as an IEP being developed to assist in their educational journey.

This set the way for public schools to make assistive technology not only accessible to be provided to children with disabilities but easily used universal design to increase independence and be usable by everyone. This law benefits individuals today by ensuring the secure guarantee that assistive technology will be provided and easily assessible.

There could be less kids with disabilities who need assistance so they are overlooked, but it is important that they are given equal access as everyone. Funding can be a problem for some public schools with families of low income.
