When the boy was young, his mother used to rock him back and forth and sing a beautiful song to him. As his mother grew older, he continued that tradition to his own baby. It's about about a baby bat lost her mother during an owl attack while flying throughout the night, so she off alone discovering what she is. At first she thought that she was a bird, but then one night another bat saw Stellaluna hanging by her thumbs. That's when Stellaluna found out she was a bat and have found her mother right next to her that who was attack by an owl. Finally, her mother and Stellaluna finally got the family back together.

I read this book when I was little and I always have liked it because it a good book and you don't know what will happen next. It makes you think about what will happen next and it gets more interesting into the book. its were a baby is with her mother and a owl swoops and hits the mamma it make the mamma bad drop her baby bat into a tree , then the baby bat lands in a bird nest then she is taught to be a bird but then she find some bats and they tell her she is wrong and she does sleep upside down and they tell her to eat fruit with her mom and she is haply with her mom again
