At LEO students can take cues for research. They understand, through journalistic articles, how climatic variations affect our daily life, the flora and fauna and the damages that derive from it. They can take inspiration to become modern environmental journalists and describe how climate changes affect their territory. In Global Climate Change - An Ice Core Overview there is a lot of information about global climate change and how it affects our lives and what events are causing an increase in the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Students can, in groups, work on the materials proposed in Conceptualization-Investigation-Conclusion. The proposed Labs are also interesting.

I like Leo App. I can use it in many ways. I ask my students to list the animals in our region and make a presentation about at least 3 of them with detailed info in five minutes. or I can ask my students a latest info happining around them and upload it to the applicaton. reading and writing skills, collecting info, organizing info and presenting info and also vocabulary use

LEO looks amazing for so many aspects of enviro observations. The Zooniverse has lots of links to current projects where the community can have a valuable role to play in helping the scientists build up the data to help them with their modelling software and hopefully they can work out some solutions.
