Transmitted through saliva.
Causes- Rabies infection is caused by Rabies Virus. Spread through bites of infected animals, usually wildlife.
Symptoms-
1) Fever and headache
2) Nausea/Vomiting
3) Agitation, Anxiety, Confusion, Hyperactivity
4) Difficulty Swallowing, Excessive Salivation
5) Fear of drinking fluids due to difficulty swallowing
6) Hallucinations, Insomnia, Partial Paralysis
Rabies can affect any person at any age simply through bite of infected animal.
Treatment- No Treatment Once Symptoms Appear. If a person is bitten, they need to seek medical attention within 24 hours to receive a fast acting Rabies Immune Globulin shot. Having the Rabies Vaccine also serves as prevention.
Prognosis- Once Symptoms Appear, Rabies is Overwhemingly Fatal. Only a Few Documented Survivors. However, if IMMEDIATE medical attention is sought, then Rabies can be prevented from taking hold.

More than 30 different types of Muscular Dystrophy exists.
Causes- Mostly inherited genes or genetic mutations that affect the production of muscle fiber protecting proteins.
Symptoms- 
1) Frequent Falls
2) Difficulty in rising from sitting or laying position
3) Trouble running or jumping and an abnormal gait
4) Large calf muscles
5) Muscle pain and stiffness
6) Learning Disabilities
7) Delayed Growth
Muscular Dystrophy can affect any age or sex, but the most common form, Duchenne Type Muscular Dystrophy, most occurs in early childhood males.
Treatment- No Cure, however programs exist to help strengthen muscles and slow the speed at which Muscular Dystrophy progresses. Medications also help delay progression. Surgery also allows for the correction of complications brought on by Muscular Dystrophy.

Causes- Exact Cause is Unknown. Around 60% of those who end up having G-B Syndrome experience the symptoms days or weeks after experiencing a gastrointestinal or respiratory infection or virus.
Symptoms- 
1) Weakness and tingling in the extremities.
2) Unsteady walking/inability to climb stairs.
3) Difficulty with facial movements, swallowing, or chewing.
4) Double Vision.
5) Severe achy, cramp-like, or shooting pain.
6) Difficulty with bladder control.
7) Rapid heart rate, low/high blood pressure, difficulty breathing.
Guillain-Barre Syndrome can occur at any age, but is most common in those 50+.
Treatment- Spinal Tap to diagnose. If you have G-B Syndrome, there is a high protein level in Cerebrospinal Fluid. IV Fluid to provide healthy cells. Clean out blood through Plasmapheresis for a speedy recovery.
Prognosis- If left undiagnosed and untreated, Guillain-Barre Syndrome is fatal as it will eventually progress into full body Paralysis.
