Mark  12:31 - The second is this: "Love your neighbor as yourself." "There is no greater commandment than these."
In this scripture God  says we should love everyone with all of our heart, no matter the race, size, color, etc. and treat them as we would hope to be treated.

Ephesians 4:2- Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.   I think this statement completely sums up what could bring peace and happiness to our lives, and take out so much stress from day to day living.  being humble and patient makes "love" so much easier.

Ephesians 5:25  Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.    I believe a husbands love for his wife should be such that he works hard, sacrifices, and makes her feel as if she is the most important thing in his life. Always doing what is best for their relationship.

Proverbs 10:12- Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers all wrongs.   Having hate and anger in your heart brings so many issues that cause a snowball effect, and it holds you in a sort of bondage.  Hate is powerful and will affect your life in a bad way and affect those around you.  When you look at people, situations, or circumstances in love....It makes forgiveness easier, prevents arguing, deceit, hurt...and many more things that can bring unhappiness to our lives.

And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself."   In reading these scriptures about Love God makes it abundantly clear that we are to LOVE.  Loving Him with our heart, soul and mind, I believe means that we believe, and follow Him and what the Bible says we should do as believers.  Every day, pray to him, offer our sins to Him, and try to be as Christ like as possible. 

Luke 6:35  But love your enemies, do good to them without expecting anything back.  Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.  This is a tough one.  When someone is mean or mistreats you, He is asking that we treat them with love and to respond in kindness.  Having malice in your heart and being mean brings an unhappy heart to us.

John 13:34- As I have loved you. Love one another.   Gods love was as selfless and as strong as any I could ever imagine.   His words on love I believe could make this world a much better place.  Love truly does change things. Love brings happiness, protection, selflessness, a desire to do more, Joy, and so much more.  He wants us to live in peace and harmony.

Psalm 136:1  Give thanks to the Lord for He is good. His love endures forever.   I think we have lost sight of the big picture of what God truly has done, and does for us.  He truly is good...He gave us life...and offers eternal life...and will love us forever.

]]> 2016-09-30 15:46:12 UTC https://padlet.com/AStaples07/qu3g6rewwpa7/wish/127566990 AStaples07 https://padlet.com/AStaples07/qu3g6rewwpa7/wish/127578364 John 3:16- For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.   I don't think any love could be for truer or as amazing.  Just to think that God allowed Jesus to be tortured and that He died for us, so that we could live forever is a Love that is beyond humbling.

Micah 6:8  Do justly, love mercy, walk humbly.
This is saying..."Do the right thing, and do it with a loving humble forgiving heart.  Love, humility, and mercy all fall in together when your heart is right.

1 John 3:16-18 - This is how we know what loves is:  Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.   We should also lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.  If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?  Dear children, let us not love with words or speech, but with actions and truth.    This verse clearly says that we should help others.  When He says we should lay down our lives for others, I think he is saying we should be selfless in doing and helping.  When we have more than we need, we should always help others that may not have as much as we do.  Having love within us, should make us want to help and give freely to others.

Colossians 3:24 - Put on Love.  I this this means that with everything we do, speak, attempt, give, take...we should show LOVE...  fondness, warmth, endearment, affection.
