The line that says "Whenever it fell upon me, my blood ran cold; and so by degrees—very gradually—I made up my mind to take the life of the old man, and thus rid myself of the eye for ever" effects me emotionally the most. This is the second or third clue that this man is indeed crazy, and something about killing an old man really impacts me emotionally.

I found the part in the story where the heart starts beating for the second time really impactful, partially because it's a big twist and partially because the same line describing the sound repeats, calling back to the murder. The actual line is "It was a low, dull, quick sound — much such a sound as a watch makes when enveloped in cotton. I gasped for breath—and yet the officers heard it not."

"It was open—wide, wide open—and I grew furious as I gazed upon it."

This is the most emotional line in the story because the narrator is happy that the old man's eye will not bother him anymore but he is furious at the fact that he has to see the eye once again. I think he might be angry also because the eye is the last thing he saw before the old man died. He feels 2 things at once and I think that brings out the real inner emotion of the butler.
