Anonymous comments, nicknames, such expression patterns make us like the people with safe masks. If we want to, these virtual identities can have no connection with the real people. Thus, it seems like that individuals possess a total freedom in certain extent. 
When it comes to this topic, I want to mention a Chinese actor called Kimi.Qiao who suicided because of depression. After the news of his death was published, some people spread vicious gossip about the reasons of his death to gain attraction from the public .A significant number of people insulted Kimi and claimed that he deserved it.
Turning to the causes of cyber bullying, there is no doubt that the development of IT make contributions. The fast rapidity and extensive scope of information transmission make cyber bullying become more harmful. The comments tapped will be seen by both our friends and strangers simultaneously in less than one second. Apart from that,when PC, smartphones are accepted by the increasing number of individuals and the number of social media users surge, cyber bullying that often contains insults and other negative emotions which can mislead others’ feelings easily can bring a tremendous devastating for victims.
I am lucky that I have not become a victim of cyber bullying so far. But I have to admit that, for most of time, I tend to be a silent witness rather than a person who advocate stopping doing cyber bullying. Miss Lewinsky mentioned that empathy can alleviate the harms of cyber bullying. However, from my perspective, the restrictions of this outrage can not just stop on ethic layer. In my opinion, advocating is a polite method for persuading rational people ,but it can not curb the malice from mobs.
In conclusion, we can not underestimate the power of our words and need to utilize them in a proper and prudent way.
