It was a bit hard to wrap my head around the whole carve what you want to keep or show part of it but once I started carving it wasn't so difficult. The process was a lot of fun and overall I'm happy with how it turned out and I like my color choices that I picked . I didn't want to carve out too much for the background because I wanted the main focus to be the butterfly but I did add a couple lines around the wings and antennas that would add some movement to the butterfly.
