I don't think so. I think it is the administrators who will have to make a push to integrate technology because students would rather just continue working in ways that are familiar to them. Learning to use new technology in the classroom could be considered a daunting task to many students...a task that requires too much effort.

In some instances, students prefer learning by the traditional style. They want the teacher to verbally communicate with them and be the master of the class. Teachers just assume students prefer all visual things instead of traditional verbal learning

Teachers think that this generations learning expectations have changed so that everything must be visual. This is not necessarily true, their preferences are still traditional.

Humans are very social beings, but while in school students are expected to sit still and remain quiet, leaving no time for interaction with other students or the teacher. Teachers need to realize that socialization is a large part of learning is not something to be constantly discouraged. Simple ways to involve socialization in a proper way is partner or group work.

I feel like there has been such a push for hands on learning that it is becoming the only way to teach. It has been drilled over and over again in my head that children learn through real experiences and getting involved. I feel like we are over emphasizing hands on learning.

Students may want to "present" through technology but in terms of "connecting" they may still prefer face to face interaction

well as for carrying out several activities simultaneously - but the differences are much less significant.

It takes an engaged and self-motivated person to benefit most from hands-on-learning...not every student fits this bill

Teachers believe that students are so technology driven that they don't need/want social interaction anymore.

I think students as well as their parents will be the source for technology in schools. Parents may begin to think that their children can obtain a better education using online resources as opposed to what the school has to offer if they do not go on with more modern trends.

Each student is different and has a different learning style, and by assuming that all are interested and prefer visual learning inhibits their potential growth.

I believe that students will always prefer face-to-face interaction, especially when it comes to school work
