There are many families whose makeup includes someone with intellectual special needs. Some of these special needs include, among others, autism, down syndrome, ADHD, and fragile X syndrome. These families often require extra support in taking care of their child, helping them in school, and in their social development. Some also do not have the funds required to help their child and in turn need that financial support. There is also a need to create awareness of these special needs in order to obtain more resources and knowledge on the disabilities.
