I chose Physical Therapy as my pre-med course not because its available, but also because some of my family members have experienced how a PT operates - they are not only professionals, they can also be your friend, or someone you can open up your problems to. Not only that, but they personally apply their skills and you are able to see them work their way to make their patient/clients feel even more functionality to their movements and body overall. I have seen videos on how they improve over the sessions and its exciting to learn that they are now living life as if they never had injuries. Yup, you see that right! With a letter Z. Supposed to be my name should be Ivan but surprise, I was born a girl! So, they changed my name into Irizh but they wanted it unique so they changed the letter ‘s’ (from Irish) to the letter ‘z’. My friends call me Zhiri which is my first name spelled backwards because we have a fellow classmate with the same name as mine but different spelling. Hence, they use this to lessen the confusion of whom they’re pertaining to. To be honest, Physical Therapy wasn’t really my premed choice. Back then, the only reason why I chose PT is because the kines suit that I will be able to wear is superb. But as I stayed throughout this program, I was able to enjoy it and hopefully, to love it even more. After taking this program, I want to continue my journey to medicine. I am just a simple and ordinary person with big dreams and I aspire to achieve it extraordinarily. I chose Physical Therapy without me having an in-depth knowledge about it. However, as I spend more time in studying the courses and interacting with different individuals in this field, I have grown very fond of this career. The journey is very challenging, but the profession is truly rewarding.

It is my deepest desire to become a God-centered medical professional who is committed in giving excellent services for my future patients and for the betterment of our health care system. This is my way of loving God and loving others, because I find the true happiness and sense of fulfillment when I best serve my purpose in this world.
