Students have the opportunity to practice orally during whole group lessons, practice book pages, and buddy reading or reading with the teacher. Students also have practice during supplemental time.

I can see how well they have a grasp on the material that we are working on and who I need to pull for some extra instruction or practice.

Calling on them. Walking up to them to quietly remind them what they should be doing. Mustang bucks. I do smelly dots when they are engaged and participating.
