- Siddhartha leaving his comfortable and lavish life with the Brahmans to become a Samana and wander in search of the ultimate experience…hmm… kind of sounds like McCandless now doesn’t it.
- I think that Siddhartha was driven by his sexual desires instead of his dream because of the way he acted. If he acted on behalf of his dream he would have continued.
- Siddhartha’s experience within his journey allowed him to realize the substantial form (to use a Christian humanism word) that was contained within everything surrounding him in the natural and human made world.
- Being alone fundamentally changed Siddhartha’s view of the world because he saw the world as being real instead of being superstitious. He stopped seeing objects as masks for real things and started seeing them as things with substancial form.
