However, the non-stop action comes at a price – character development."- From the book review. I disagree with this statement, at the start of the book for about 50 to 70 pages in nothing much happens of action other than a bad rain storm and some things that you don't know are happening yet until you find out that their colony is being raided by pirates. Other than this part I completely agree with the book review.

When the group leaves for the shelter Griffin latches on to his father and screams. Keep in mind he is def. I was confused at first then as the book went on every time he does this the person ends up dying. It created a lot of suspension to find out what happens to is father. It may be that she strengthens an element hidden within him and will be released.
