National Thanksgiving Turkey Presentation is a ceremony that takes place at the White House every year shortly before Thanksgiving. The president grants the turkey a "presidential pardon" and thus the bird is spared from being slaughtered.

Born in Atlanta in 1929, from a young age Martin Luther King became aware of the situation of social and racial segregation blacks living in his country.

Soon he showed his charisma and his determination to fight for the defense of civil rights through peaceful means, inspired by the figure of Mahatma Gandhi and the theory of Civil Disobedience by Henry David Thoreau.

He delivered hid famous speech "I have a dream" in 1963 and received the Novel Prize in 1964.

He was assasinated in Memphis in 1968.
