I think that this is a true statement. Coraline is very curious because she wonders what lies behind the door in the drawing room even though she knows that there is a brick wall (pg. 29). This is curiosity because she knows that there is a brick wall behind the door but she wants to find out what is behind the brick wall and she doesn't even know how to get in.

Coraline is also a very brave girl because even though when she opened the door in the drawing room and there was no more brick wall behind it, she wasn't afraid to go into the unknown and mysterious house (pg. 29).  She is also brave because when she explores around the house grounds, she doesn't care about if someone tries to hurt her or steal her or if there are dangerous or harmful things around her (pg. 15).

I believe that Coraline is resourceful for her ability to find ways to get herself out of difficult situations. For instance; When she is carrying the black cat, she asked to see if her parents are behind the door and her other mother proves her wrong, "There! You're  wrong! You don't know where your parents are do you? They aren’t there! Now you're going to stay with me forever and always! (pg. 145)” she instantly threw the black cat to the other mother to scratch her face for enough time to escape and bring the cat with her. Another example of Coraline being resourceful is when she goes into the empty flat in the other world and finds the trapdoor. She goes down and finds the other father all out of shape and messed up. Then the other mother starts telling the other father to get Coraline but in an instant she thinks of pulling his one button eye out (pg. 125).

This is true because she wants an adventure in her new life but there is not many adventures. For example when she goes into the other world, she goes into her other room and finds lots of cool toys that she likes “This is more like it!” (pg. 33). This is also true because in pg. 27 her mum invited her to go to the shops with her Coraline says no and tries to read a book on people in a distant country, she is still bored and has the idea of going through the door. And on page 24 she quotes, “ In danger? Sounds exciting.”, because just before she said that, miss Forcible and miss Spink read her tea leaves to say that she was in danger.

This is both true and false because it's true that it's strange but it's false because it's not wonderful. She doesn't like the world because Coraline has another mother and another father and they want to keep her “forever and always” but she doesn't want to stay. She also however, likes the other world because there is a lot of interesting things like the black catty at can talk, the toys in her room, there's more things to explore, “I'm exploring says Coraline” (pg. 38) etc. .  Another thing she might also like about the other world is that her other parents have lots more time for her to play with her and she's not always really bored, “Well just wait for you to come back said Coraline's other mother”, (pg. 38 again).

I disagree with this statement because Coraline's ‘evil’ other parents insist on her staying in the alternate reality, she refuses to stay with them because they were going to sew buttons on her eyes “If you want to a stay, there's only one little thing we’ll have to do, so you can stay here forever and always”and she wants her real parents (pg. 49). At first when she goes into the other world, she likes it a bit but when she gets locked behind the mirror and meets the lost souls, she gets worried that she'll turn into one of them (pg. 90).
