Source 1 tells me that trade was not the only form of trade being conducted and there was a presence of Chinese in early Singapore.
Source 2 supports the point as it shows "a Palembang prince, Parameswara, fled to Temasek after being deposed by the Majapahit kingdom."
Source 3 also tells me that the kingdom of Srivijaya was a powerful maritime kingdom at the 7th-23th century before the rise of Temasek.
