There is a continuing need for: bottles of squash, crisps, full fat UHT milk, pasta sauce, semi skimmed UHT milk, tinned custard, tinned rice pudding; tinned meat, tinned vegetables and toilet rolls.

Since last August they have been fully booked each month with 2 new clients per month and the demand does not seem to be slowing down.

The requirements of a befriender are fairly simple :

- Christian, willing to share their faith and pray for the clients

-friendly 

-available during the day or early evening for appointments

-DBS (we can do this check but if they have one already that helps)

They are not allowed to give financial advice so they don't need any financial knowledge other than not themselves being in unmanageable debt!

Mind the Tap

Turn off the tap while brushing your teeth. A tap running for one minute uses about six litres of water- if you brush your teeth for the recommended two minutes, you'll be using about 12 litres of water. 

Shorter Shower Challenge

Most of the water we use everyday goes down plugholes and drains in in the bathroom. Showering for just one minute less saves around 10 litres of water.

Boil Smart:

Fill your kettle with only the exact amount of water you need for your drink.

Use a Bowl in your Sink:

That way you can keep the water you use to wash up, peel veg etc and put it on the garden or your house plants.
