The forgetting curve is the exponential decline in information retention after a certain amount of days. 48 hours is usually the best interval for reviewing information to keep it present in your mind. This has completely changed the way I approach studying and review for all of my classes.

This has helped me process what type of learner I am and how I can use that to more efficiently digest information in the future.

Fixed mindset is usually a state of thinking that causes people to avoid change, and makes them assume that evolution is not possible within one's self. Growth mindset is the thought process that one can learn anything given enough effort and time. Learning this in class has made me more conscious of staying away from the fixed mindset.

Eat that frog is a procrastination avoidance strategy. The idea is to get the worst thing you have to do first, just to get it over with. This is a mantra of the Wilshire household and I do not go a day without thinking of this.

The power of yet goes hand in hand with growth mindset. It is the idea that even though you don't understand something now, that doesn't mean you won't down the road. Adding yet to the end of disgruntled phrases adds power. This helps me keep a more optimistic and motivated mindset whenever I am going through hardship.

Extrinsic motivation is an external drive based on tangible things, such as money or assets. It could be an accomplishment as well.

Living behind instead of living forward is the idea that you shouldn't spend money that you don't have just because you are assuming you will be good when your next check hits. This is helpful because it prevents you from living over the budget you currently have, because if you are constantly taking from your next check then saving money will be much more challenging.
