         <description><![CDATA[<div>The teacher will read aloud a short passage to the class. The teacher will assess each student individually as they fill out their own answers on the  worksheet below. The teacher will also ask the students to underline key details in the passage. As the students are working, the teacher will circulate among each group to see how students are performing.  After all students are finished, the teacher will go over the answers and discuss the key details.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The teacher will ask the students if they know what the 5 W's are. She will write the students' responses on the board. After students are finished sharing their ideas, the teacher will explain the correct meanings of the 5 W's and show the following youtube video. <br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXWK1-L41f0">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXWK1-L41f0</a><br><sub><sup><br></sup></sub>The teacher will read the story "The Rainbow Fish" to the class.  Students will have their own copies of the story.  They will be assigned a partner and will work together to fill out the 5W worksheet below. They will also underline the key details in the story. When finished, the teacher will call upon each group to share their answers. The teacher will fill in the students' responses on the graphic organizer so everyone can see. </div>]]></description>
