Her life suddenly changed when her 4 month old son Joshua passed away. She was convicted because of false accusations made by Dr. Smith in 1999. Dr. Smith falsely testified that the body of Joshua suffered from swelling in the brain, skull fracture, unexpected lacerations and a burst of blood vessel.
