I measured the countertop I want to replace . My measurements are shown in the photo above . What I did first was convert both Length and width to feet. 25in=2.125 or 2.13ft & 18in=1.50 ft. To find the area I multiplied 2.13ft X 1.50ft =3.195 or 3.2 sq.ft.

I found a countertop on home depot called “Butcher Block” it ranges from $50-100 per sq. ft. Though on average it is $75 per sq.ft. I decided to use the average price as my unit price .

I proceeded to do 3.20 X $75.00 =$240 which is the cost to replace the countertop.

I want to repaint my room which is 11’4” X 11’4” and the height is 7’5”. I have two doors and a window. The window is 6’7” X 3’11” and the doors are 2’ 3 3/4” X 6’ 10 1-2”

Step 1

The perimeter is 35’ 4” which is 44.333 ft

The height is 7’ 5” which is 7.417 ft

Step 2

Total wall area

44.333 X 7.417 =336.22 sq ft

Step 3

Window area

6’7”=6.583 ft 3’11”= 3.917 ft

6.583 X 3.917 =25.78 sq ft

Step 4

Are of the 2 doors

2’ 3 3/4” =2.313 ft 6’ 10 1/2”=6.875 ft

So 1 door is 2.313 X 6.875 =15.90 sq ft

So 2 doors is 31.80 sq ft

Step 5

Subtract window and doors

336.22-25.78-31.80 =278.64sq ft

1 gallon of paint covers about 350 to 400 ft.²

I wanna do two coats so I will need 2 gallons

If the paint is $30 per gallon 30/350=.09 per square foot

So it would cost me around $.20 per square foot to do two coats of paint so it would costs me about $55.75 to paint my room

I wanted to place a dresser on this corner of my room. I measured the space it will take up. The dresser is 36 inches wide and 14 inches deep. After converting the measurements to feet, I calculated the area. 3 ft x 1.17= 3.51 square feet.

Although I usually listen to audiobooks, I still buy physical books for the covers, so I’m running out of shelf space. I’m planning to add a set of three 33‑inch floating wood shelves above my standing bookshelf
