It describes a period of government control over Romania in the 1980s. The story is told by a strong protagonist who is approached to become a spy. You never know who to trust in this novel and there are so many strong character connections/depictions. It is beautifully written and the pace was incredible! As drugs take hold of her community, she has to decide what she will do to save the culture and people she loves, and what she is willing to risk. It is a wonderful series, full of twists and turns. It is a 5 book series, with a couple of side novellas. It tells the life of America Singer as she is selected for the Selection, and how she helplessly falls in love with Maxon, the crown prince of Illea (first three books). But, there are many problems along the way; with other romances, rebels, and just life as it is. The last two books are about Eadlyn, America's and Maxon's daughter, and how her Selection took place. Eadlyn is a strong minded woman, but she, like her mother, fell for someone she never would have expected to fall for. This is a series full of surprises and swoon-worthy moments. I would recommend this to any 7th or 8th grader who loves romance, drama, and suspense. It is up to Hercule Poirot, a world renowned detective to find out who did it. I am a big fan of mystery books, especially when the book will confuse you and you want to solve the mystery too. After he is finally healthy again when he gets back into the world it seems like everybody has something against him, he later realized he was a bully and built up a terrible reputation over the years. I really liked this book because I was able to follow along and see how he would grow as a person and become the hero of the story. It was like I was following along with him, there were many times in the book where I was scared, happy, and excited for him. There were so many twists and turns he had to find his way through. I read it as my book for the dystopian novel unit, and I truly enjoyed everything about it. I usually don't pick survival/action books, but this one made me change my mind. This book tells the story of 12 districts led by the Capitol of Panem, forced to each select one girl and one boy, otherwise known as tributes, to participate in the games. Every citizen then watches all 24 tributes fight to death in an arena, until one remains. The main character Katniss Everdeen, a tribute from District 12, is a fierce hunter, and has to survive the games. Katniss has to decide how she wants to play her ways to succeed, but other things try and stop her way. This book left me on the edge of my feet, and I couldn't put it down. I was always worried or scared about what was going to happen next. All of the characters in this book are unique, and there is a lot of character development throughout the story. I think that anyone can enjoy this book, no matter what genre they prefer. The author does an amazing job of pulling the reader in with the intricate way that she portrays her characters. She must decide how her future is going to be by choosing between these two. The imagery and description in this book is elaborate and amazing. Kiera Cass' development in writing is astonishing compared to her other series "the selection" which is a similar royal romance series. It tells the story of Evan Hansen, a teenage boy starting to understand the struggles of being a high-schooler and not knowing your place in life. After being diagnosed with depression and other various mental health problems, he starts writing himself letters of encouragement, one of which includes thoughts about his crush. Connor, another mentally unstable teen, discovers this printed out letter, and later that day, takes his own life with the letter still in hand. Connor's parents discover this letter, and misunderstand who was writing it, further thinking that Evan Hansen might have been Connor's friend. 
This story is beautiful as it takes on the heavy topics of death, grieving, and what people will do to try and grasp at the memories of their loved ones. You get to watch the characters grow in unexpected ways, and experience the aftermath of such unfortunate events. In this book, there is murder, chases, and overall keeps you questioning things you know. And the end just made me  question the entire book. It is about a young boy living in Nazi Germany. He and his family love the Nazis, or at least that's what they want them to think. They are from Ireland, and live in the embassy. Michael is part of the Hitler youth like most other boys to fit in. While doing his normal day, he comes across a huge secret in his friends house. It is something that can change the fate of the whole world. I loved this authors writing style because he tells a story while making it interesting to read and making you want to read the next chapter and the next chapter, always learning what happens next, with all of the twists and turns this book takes, you will never put it down. I enjoyed the combination of mystery and action, as well as the fact that I can tie the book to some things that actually happened in history. This book was more an experience than just words on a page. It highlights such beautiful memories and allows the reader to create their own complex idea of how each event went down. Every chapter left me with my jaw dropped and wanting more. The plot twists were absolutely genius and nothing I would have ever expected. This was one of my first reads this year and I am still not over how things turned out. Everything was so vivid; the emotions, the dialogue, and the interactions. We Were Liars is very deep, very real, and very memorable. I will never forget the way I felt reading this book for the first time. I had read it before and I wanted to read it again this year. It is incredibly paced and has just the right amount of plot and action. The character development for all the characters is done very well and can be very funny at points. The main protagonist is Benjamin Ripley and he is a very interesting kid. He is funny and extremely smart when he goes on his missions. The book keeps you engaged the whole time and the plot development is amazing. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a mix of dialogue and action.

It was the final book of the Secret Series which was an amazing series and I definitely recommend it.  It tells the adventure of Max-Ernest and Cass who are accused of stealing a ancient mummy at the local museum. They have to get to the bottom of this secret, and find out what Ms.Mauvais is planning now. I love how the author added the real facts about ancient Egypt and tied it to the book. It added a twist to the book while also educating you at the same time. Cheyenne then has to find a way to escape, from several men including Griffin. The adventures of this novel will keep you from putting it down. It is very suspenseful, and it also has a great amount of character development. You can see the differences in how the characters change throughout the story, especially both Cheyenne and Griffin. Luckily, the doctors were able to salvage his heart and give it to another boy who was practically dying from heart failure. (Colton) Throughout the book, Quinn attempts to find the recipient because she thinks it will reconnect her with Trent. But she finds this is very difficult because Colton wants to stay anonymous and forget about his rough past. When Quinn ends up finding Colton, they realize that they already have a strong bond even though they haven't even met before. Due to this, they end up falling in love and Quinn feels as if she had re-connected with Trent. I think that Jessi Kirby did a fantastic job of showcasing Quinn's emotional journey as she deals with the loss of her boyfriend. I also loved her very descriptive writing style. It made me feel as if I was living in the story. The graphic novels are about Charlie Spring, a boy who just got outed for his sexuality. He gets sat next to the star rugby player named Nick Nelson. As their friendship grows Nick realizes his feelig for Charlie and have a hidden romance. They face alot untill Nick comes out but atr they have such an adorable relationship and experience new thing together. Its so great that it got turned into a netflix show and within premiere week it got 2.5 billion views . There are novels based off characters in the book and they are such a great addition to the graphic novels. Though 35 girls were selected from all of the girls eligible in the 9 districts, as time goes on the amount of girls in the competition starts to decrease, till there are only 4 girls left. This book had so much more to offer though. The inturiging love triangle and the action pack plot also kept me wanting to read more. I liked how the book was kept between the two genres: action and romance while still being face-paced. It also showed me that people should like you for truly are and you shouldn't need to impress anyone. This contributes towards external forces seeking to conquer Carthya when it is not under command by a powerful individual. Therefore, a young orphaned boy, Sage, becomes abducted and forced into battle among other adolescents who contain similar characteristics of the missing prince. While many of these individuals hope to defeat one another to imposter as the missing prince Jaron, they potentially develop differentiated relationships which adds to a suspenseful twist revealed in the end. That's why "The False Prince" is my favorite book of the year due to its thought provoking representation by helping people view a confusing time period more clearly. This futuristic twist on the fairy tale of Cinderella follows Cinder, a cyborg girl who's a mechanic. She is usually discriminated against for being a cyborg and has a cruel stepmother. She and her country are faced with a deadly virus outbreak as the merciless Lunar people await. I loved this book for the interesting way it made a classic fairy tale into a suspenseful sci-fi story. I loved how the book still stuck to the main plot of Cinderella and even included character equivalents. For example Iko is an android and Cinder's best friend like how Cinderella's best friends are one of many mice or birds. Like Cinderella, Cinder has 2 step sisters, Peony and Pearl, and a stepmother Adri. This book far exceeded my expectations based on others opinions on the book. I was sucked into the story line that included many shocking twists. Cinder herself is such an inspiring character as she shows traits of perserverance, intelligence, and sensibleness. My favorite book is The Hunt for Red October by Tom Clancy. The book follows CIA analyst Jack Ryan and Captain Marko Raimus and is centered around the Red October, a Soviet typhoon class submarine. The book's description of the boats and aircraft is filled with details. Tom Clancy makes you feel that you are inside the Red October, right next to captain Ramius, or in a F-14, in a daring attack on the Russian fleet. You cannot stop reading when you get this kind of immersive detail.  I read this book in several sessions that spanned an average of two hours. The only reason I put the book down was the fact that the human body needs sleep. The book is phenomenal, and I would rate it 10/10

While Jameson is delighted about his grandfather's last puzzle, Greyson determined Avery is posing as an innocent girl. The author of this novel made this book so interesting and displayed the characters in a way relatable, this made the book even more enjoyable!
