Initially, I founded this company as a frustrated loner looking for a place where I belonged in this world. The world was just as frustrated with my backwards way of doing things as I was frustrated with this world for not understanding me. I was discontent with a life lived in constant friction where there should have been grace. My parents, in their 50th year of marriage, gave me the precious gift of time to embark on a journey of discovery and contemplation. It is something I will always be grateful for. On the search to find where it is I fit in, I have found that there is a place where fitting in means standing out.

There's a world of left handed souls, minds, and creatives searching for a place where they can be themselves with ease instead of angst. If you're looking straight ahead - you'll never see them. They live in the highs and lows of life - the creative reservoirs that come from the exhilaration of happiness and the isolation of depression that fuel intense creative zones. Passion rarely exists within a life that's lived in the middle. For only when one has understood the depths of his own sorrow can he accurately convey the heights of a simple happy laugh shared with a loving companion.

Creativity is the language of self - one that can not be taught, but is universally understood. Originating from within, it is the truest expression of our individual minds. Where the various languages of our planet serve well to ease the interactions of our daily lives together, the personal language of our creativity gives meaning to the lives we live.  To the artist, the process of creating is far more meaningful than the creation.

Those that don't express their own creativity may simply be more comfortable fitting in, than standing out. But those who don't acknowledge the existence of their own creativity are denying themselves of their rightful place in this world.

I've been told I write too much by the bosses I've had. I've tried to change but I find sadness in slicing out thoughts from my mind simply because someone else doesn't feel like reading them. Initially, the company was named 'The Mind of Marc.us', but I realize that sounds very "me" focused, as opposed to "we". Therefore, I find that "The Mind of Marc.us" is best utilized as a journal of my personal reflections, as opposed to a statement about the company that I have founded. I wanted to free myself of restrictions to stay on any certain topic, while also free my company from any liability it takes from the things I may say.  Please understand the difference between personal and professional conduct.

While I stand by everything that I say, this blog is written freestyle and without concern for image or conduct. It is simply me musing a particular subject. I am free to change my mind just as you are free to judge my words. With that in mind, read on if you really dare...
