1. What is your opinion of Eckels? What kind of person is he?
He seems like an overconfident man who thought he could do it all, but when it boiled down to it, he couldn't. He seems regretful though, and willing to fix things.
2. What do you think the words "A Sound of Thunder" refer to?
Before finishing the story, I presumed it was the sound of the dinosaur's footsteps, but once I finished, I realized it was the sound of the gun used to kill Eckles to fix time.
3. Eckels seems to see money as a way to solve all problems. Why do you think he is like this and do you agree with him?
I think in our society, a lot of things revolve around money, society revolves around money. So when someone does something wrong, you usually pay for something in return. You break it, you buy it. So perhaps he thought the same policy could apply to time. I don't particularly agree with him. I do think money can solve a lot of problems but not some as devastating as time.
4. Think about our overriding question, "How does power and the abuse of power affect humanity?" How does Eckels abuse his power and how does it affect humanity?
He abused his ability to travel back in time and went off the path because he was scared (but it was his choice to go). This ruined English, apparently, and spelling isn't the same.

5. What period of time would you travel back to and why?
I think I would go back to went my grandmother still lived in Vietnam so I could travel back and meet her family as I don't know anyone on her side of the family.

I. "There is no such thing as a perfect society." The frames show other societies that are seemingly perfect but the more you watch, you witness them fall apart due to internal or external forces.
II. I chose the image because it reminded me of a museum. Also since the sky moves, I thought that maybe a picture in the frames shouldn't be a still photo and rather a movie.
III. Arlo
a. Scrawny and thin, but tall for his ethnicity. Vietnamese, so quite tan with mono-lidded eyes that are a naturally deep gray, almost black, color. Typically wears layered clothes (prefers cold weather). Resides in SVSV (better known as SV), Southern Vietnam's Society Viewing. He has a dog named Otis and a cat named Milo.
b. He's quite distant and tends to ignore others around him unless it's necessary. He doesn't often ask for help (he's a repair man for the SV), and refuses to work with his coworkers. However, he's not the type to secretly long for company either. He enjoys being by himself and doesn't plan to change it.
c. Others tend to forget about him and refer to him as a ghost that haunts the building. They sometimes will speak poorly of him because they think he's strange for being so distant and cold to everyone and many joke that he needs to find a girlfriend.
IIII
