<title>Chris Jordan is an American artist born in 1963. (Jordan, Chris 2011)He creates one of the most impressive types of “Art Activism” which covers a broad spectrum of concepts thanks to huge statistics produced every day about different important subjects going around us in the world and thanks to the talent he applies to introduce this transnational art to our lives which translates statistical data to a tangible piece of art in a mystery-solving way. His works can be found on his website containing a fact and an image explaining it in a visual process which zooms into the picture and makes you guess about what is happening.</title>

<title>To share my personal joy from seeing one of his works, I demonstrate the zooming process by a couple of photos (in order) from different steps. Just look at this first image for five seconds and then try to explain what you have seen. (stop reading please!) You probably end up with something close to” a factory spewing out pollution” –what the artist guesses in his TEDtalk–or something like that and in fact this transnational piece of art wants us to begin there, then when we have the chance to look at it closer we would see the “pipes” (as in second image) and finally we would recognize that the whole huge thing in front of us is made of one million single “plastic cups” that probably one of them is waiting for our next touch to drink !</title>

<title>I believe only facing one piece of art like this is enough to trigger the mind to ask what are the other examples of statistical data that can be kind of better understood if translated like this? And there is a valuable collection of them prepared by Jordan to tell us more about “The behavior that we deny and the ones which are under our daily surface of awareness” as he describes them. So the effect goes beyond one issue and addresses a prospective….</title>
