she is 16 years old turning 17 though, born on June 8, 2007 which makes her a gemini, and secretly has a crush on **** her classmate 😉

My family is one of 4, I have my dearest little brother "Lorenzo Ecko", but we call him "Kobe", who often is quite the cause of my headaches. My mother "Ardell" who is, if not the smartest person I know and the one I look up to the most. And My father, "Randy" who I am grateful for, after the sacrifices he's made when moving to Kuwait to work as a bank teller.

I was studying at my previous school, St. Paul University Surigao (SPUS) for nearly 12 years already, because of that, I grew to have relations with almost everyone, from my peers, to those older than me, or younger than me, to the staff, and even to my teachers. Because of this and their trust in me, I was able to become the JHS Student Council President in my 10th grade, the Head Opinion Section Editor for our school paper "The Pauliglobe", a part of the varsity for Badminton, and a lyrist for our Drum and Lyre corps, all while maintaining "With High Honors". Because of this, you and most of the people I am not so close with, might consider me the typical "eldest daughter academic achiever."

Well, that is partly correct. BUT Martina is so much more than that. For I am also a violin player, a singer dare I say, a reader, a movie watcher, a gamer, a food critique (Gordon Ramsey I'm coming for you) a poet, and most importantly a friend - to her classmates, teammates, co-council members, and everyone who needs one.

Outside of school, I am able to maintain relations with my dear friends Gazelle, Kich, Alisa, Sabina, and Larra - who is actually here in Ateneo with me. These are the people whom I could never live without, we're always there for each other and I could say all of them are half my soul. In fact, all the books in the great library of Alexandria would never be enough to describe my love for them, It's always going to be us and our spontaneous trips against the world.

Most of the songs I listen too are indie songs, songs from movies, and broadway!! I find so myself that I gravitate more towards songs that sound like they could be in a movie soundtrack because I often daydream or read when I listen to music, and the genres I listen to aid in these experiences.

Some of my favorite videos to watch are animatics by Ananalog or MSA and for a fact TED-ED! In fact, a FUN FACT about me is that everyday I watch atleast 2 ted-ed videos! But other than that I also enjoy watching violinist Ray Chen's videos or People vs Food's "try not to" videos

This is a media platform for me where my love for the humanities is greatly displayed as most of whom I follow are art accounts and small poem publishers. In fact, I am an ambassador for the publishing page "Poetry_4progress". But other than that, I follow my favorite online persona's in this platform too, like my favorite actors or tv show pages and even news networks!

Almost every waking hour of the day, you'll find me deeply concentrated on my phone where I'll read these stories, or with my face buried deep in a book. Some of my favorite genres are high fantasy stories, thrillers, mythologies, or those of which where I get to act as a judge or detective that stresses and contemplates over morality and truth (I am indeed quite the philosopher).

Though I do have to mention, I have my mother to thank for my passion in these things, as at the ripe age of 6, I was already thrown in the world of literature and high fantasy fae (refer to "little me's media intake")

To expound, first as I've said earlier, these media forms most especially books and movies are part of my upbringing, they are somewhat a key feature of our family, that structured how we think, and made complex our way of thinking. Because of this, I ponder that I've developed the skill of analysis, thoughtfulness, creativity and even ingenuity, and in the end came to be fond of them.

Second, the medias listed are comforting to me, in a way that offers an escape, for when I partake in my media activities specially in reading or listening to music or watching movies, I put myself in the setting and become part of the story -which I think makes the experience so much more than it is. These media platforms are sparks in me, the thoughts and feelings I could never get otherwise. Here I find myself in a sea of passion for every story, every beat, and every line I dwell in.

Like I said earlier they practically helped my parents build me. But thats the key to it though, media just HELPED me grow, not entirely the one that made me do so, although media did influence me, it did so in a positive way as I was exposed to it under my parent's monitoring and guidance. It was my parents still, who taught us what to watch or read, and helped us digest the contents in a proper way.

My lifestyle was not so much affected by media, as I lived my life the way I saw my parents do so, I followed their examples and traditions, and just took snippets of what I see online.

However, my aspirations are a different matter, media actually helped me get a clear vision of what and who I want to become, as it showed me both the positive and negative sides of things. Furthermore the stories I've read also helped me build interest and even character, as these stories have only reality to mirror.

Lastly, Yes. I think that my interaction with media is quite healthy, as like in every relationship I have, I know how to set boundaries, and am able to pick out which- from what media exposes me too- is a character I should and should not have.
