Q1: To a large extent I agree that imitation/smuggling of medicine is acceptable as patients living in poverty could hardly afford the expensive price of licensed medicine. Without the help of imitation/smuggling of medicine, these poor patients would simply give up and refuse to get cured in order to avoid the burden. However, I could not 100% agree with it since imitation/smuggling of medicine has lots of potential risks. Though its price is relatively cheap and affordable, it might not be as effective as the licensed one. It is also possible for these medicines to have serious side effects.

Q2: I believe that the government or Hospital Authority should be entitled in this case. They are able to use resources wisely in an effective way.

Q3: In my point of view, the patent protective law brings more advantages than disadvantages. The law could motivate medical factories to create new drugs since they can earn money by inventing new medicine. This shows that the patent protective law facilitates the development of medicine, which allows more curing method to be invented.

Q4: I would still sentence him to prison as it is the fact that he had broken the law. If the judge let him go, the law would lose its credibility and medical factories would lose its motivation of inventing new drugs as well. It could be one of the factors that hinders the development of medicine.
