The older generation will be able to live longer as they better healthcare for them to live however they will have more money to help them as they slowly go.

Younger people are staying more at home because it helps them to avoid buying houses as now the house now is very expensive. it also can them to have a more disposable income to spend on holidays. 

Since 1950s package holidays have been the most popular post war. Most people have been on the typical 1-2 week beach holiday to try something different.

Although technology is good for customers to book holiday online the negative impact is that there is less people going into the high street which can make there store go out of business.

Electronic payments are made to make it more easier for travels to be able to access when going on holiday which can allow to move on to making a bag drop. it has also seen 'travellers cheques' disappear from use.

Customers are allowed to order food & drink at the table when in restaurant which allows the customer be relaxed and can have an easier access when there maybe a long line for the food ordering at the counter. 

Nowadays customers are expected to be able to manage their booking online to make it easier for them and also have independence in allowing them to have that control on their booking.

When booking holidays the customers will find that booking will be more expensive as we are out of the EU and cost living has gone up.  UK tourists wont be able to use the EU fast track passport control and customers lines as we are not part of the EU anymore so using the passport control you have to be part of the EU. Also, immigration rules will take longer as well.


If you stay in a country longer than 90 days you will have have have a visa to be able to stay in that country as we are not part the EU anymore so the rules are that you need a visa and a passport to be valid to stay in the country. From 2022 British visitors will need to be registered online and be able to pay in advance for a 'Etias' Visa.

Local sourcing is important to the environment because it helps the local community and reducing food miles, travel companies who follow will be seen in good light. 

Ethically sourcing covers the way in which products are produced including the whole supply chain and ensuring that the workers involved are treated and paired fairly.

Increase minimum wage makes labour costs more expensive and  costs even more to employee people for the business.

Companies that purchase soft drinks with sugar now have to pay a sugar tax meaning that to cover the taxes the customers need to pay more to buy the drinks.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions the airlines have restricted most of their staff to come to work for the covid symptoms that they may have so when they are not working they are on fur load meaning that they are at home with pay not working.  

91% of holidays in July and August 2020 were changed or cancelled because of the pandemic meaning that most of the customers were complaining and frustrated about it getting cancelled sometimes they were able to get there money back. 

Countries have imposed restrictions about tourists travelling to their countries as the COVID-19 is a very serious disease that can kill many people. In most countries they have ban entry for there country because of COVID-19.
