  • Barred entrance from most Asian countries and used Filipinos to replace Chinese and Japanese laborers that were forced out due to immigration laws.

    The last sakadas that came over in 1946 (Sakada '46) included more women, children, and relatives of previous sakadas. Some of these sakadas also had American colonial education.
