Many students work well at tables instead of individual desks as it gives them a chance to work in groups and other students. Having the square rug with flexible seating is important to help accommodate  for all students. Some students require some more individualized time, so the kidney table and round table are  good ways to help focus on those students who may need extra guidance. We have technology available in our classroom, such as two computers, a white board and a Smart board for our students to access online materials. We have two bookstands in our classroom as well, so we can look at books as a class. We provide student storage behind our student tables so it is easily accessible for our students. We have teacher storage next to the teacher desk, which is right by the door. The students will need to either hop or squat depending if it is a vowel or a consonants. Double-It-Up is a great game for students to play with a partner or a group to have them recall some of their basic math facts! During this activity, students are supposed to roll a di or pick a card and then double whatever the number is. ( ex. The student rolls a 5.  Then the student would say double 5 equals 10! ) The students then need to come with a movement or exercise to do that many times ( for the example it would be 10 times ). I like that they are using their recall skills, along with being able to move or stretch. It is important for students to be able to complete basic math problems like this and having them practice it is very important.
