My team was not doing the best a listening. We did have slight communication in terms of signals, eyes, and others. But unfortunately, those didn't help much for the situation. People started to pull when they weren't supposed to. Or maybe someone was trying to do their own strategy without telling the speaker. We need to learn to alert other and make sure we listen to make a dependable and honest team.

When we met, it turned out that both of us had assumed the other was also researching. I had focused on gathering detailed information, while she had been busy designing the slides without much content. We ended up rushing to combine our efforts, which made our final presentation less effective.

Next time, I would make sure we clearly outline our responsibilities and confirm them in writing. A quick text or message summarizing who is doing what would have prevented the mix-up. Additionally, setting a mid-point check-in to review our progress would help ensure we’re both on track and avoid last-minute stress.
