When the gray wolf was removed from Yellowstone the park went into chaos. This is true because the elk were over populated and overgrazed which meant that the beavers couldn't build homes or eat, the coyote became the apex predator which meant a decrease in the population in antelope, rodents and fox's and the scavengers couldn't find any of the wolves leftovers. So in the end I can conclude that the gray wolf and any biotic or abiotic organism has a reason for being and so it can not be taken out of it's ecosystems otherwise everything will go hay-wire.

For an example: When one animal is removed it can effect all of the other animals. The elk was also a big problem, They ate all the trees and grass which effected the rest of the animals to die. This effected the beavers because now they didn't really have a natural habitat. All of this together caused the rest of the animals to have trouble with food.
It was like a domino effect, once something happens that can effect something else then that thing is going to effect other things, just like this ecosystem.

When the wolfs were eliminated, nobody ate the elk causing the elk to overgraze. Since the elk were overgrazing, that effected the beavers by not letting them build dams which basically meant that lost their shelters. Then as the gray wolf lost it's place, the coyote took over as the top predator. That caused major changes because the populations of antelope, foxes, etc were all drastically decreasing. Knowing everything we've learned, all organisms are connected in someway, and if one of of the organisms go away, that can lead to a whole change which could lead to a lost of many species.

The elks overgrazing caused them to have no food, and they resorted to what the beavers used as protection and homes. Without the top predator left the coyote, which wasn't nearly as strong as the wolf, as this led to the overpopulation of elks, and the decreasing population of antelopes and other small rodents, and these rodents were the food for scavengers which they couldn't live because they had no food.
Luckily, in 1995 they actually brought the wolf back, restoring the balance between all these animals and this just shows you how one animal can affect a whole ecosystem.
