The game allows you to create your own avatar and choose a world to live in. The aim behind this is to interrogate peoples use of personas online to hide their real self and use virtual reality as a form of escapism and fantasy. Additionally, we want to show how people get so invested in the online world that it becomes their reality.

I took the suggestions from Friday for a city world, a space/sci-fi world and a nature world and added an extra two because 5 felt like a good amount of locations. The extra two I decided on were a fantasy world (elves, dragons, wizards, etc), and a beach/sea location (beaches, mermaids, pirates, etc). I gave them all placeholder names for now. I will work on more detailed maps of the individual locations as well that can also be used as promotional materials.

Similarly to our concept the 'OASIS' allows users to create their own worlds, homes and avatars. It has a range of diverse worlds for users to choose from. It also allow you to form real life relationships which is a feature we want to incorporate to explain the idea of people using personas online. ​

The game has a menu that allows you access to hundreds of different 'rooms' which are essentially servers and can vary from player vs player maps rp worlds and even music studios and so much more. the game is a VR layout but can be played on controller and mobile. I think this game is a great example of a base of the concept are creating. I'm going to explore this further by looking into the creation of your own server.
