Engaging in professional development, without missing out on contact time with my students, was intriguing. The fact that project based learning was the focus of this staff development was also a huge draw. I've done some project based learning, but would like to do more. Also, I provide support to new teachers through the induction program, so any new learning for me can be shared the teachers I support.

Through this professional development, I hope to be exposed to new technologies or strategies that I can use in developing projects for my classroom. By the end of this PD, I hope to have developed a project or projects that will increase student engagement in my classroom, thus increasing student academic achievement and student social skills.
