King Victor Amadeus II of Sardinia ( Son of Queen Anne from Britain), and  Phillip ( Grandson of Louis XIV) had officially signed on behalf of their authority. These pieces included Île Royale ( Cape Breton Island), Acadia, and even Île Saint-Jean ( Prince Edwards Island). At that time the British crown had put all of these under the name of “Nova Scotia”. Along with this a few grants were also given. So the French crown let fisher’s professionally come to Newfoundland and fish slowly. Even though the treaty was originally created to stop a European war, it had rearranged ownership of land. If this treaty wouldn’t have happened then the possibility of us having Prince Edward Island as a province would decrease because that colony was in debt a lot of the time. Though when Britain had ownership of it, the island's debt was there so they were pushed to create it as their province and a part of the dominion. If they didn't own the land already, they wouldn’t show interest in the future because land in debt isn’t the type of prosperity the crown wanted to gain. We would probably not even have Nova Scotia and New Brunswick because Cape Breton was a chunk of land added to Nova Scotia ( after this treaty), so it helped to make Nova Scotia big enough to split and big enough to create it into a province as well. In this treaty when British fishers were given access to fish in Newfoundland this helped to win the seven years war a bit because as greater populations had fished around that area, so Newfoundland had become loyal to the British during the war.

It was signed between the French and Spain and Britain on the other hand. In this war there had been a clear win, which the British had accomplished. In it all of Areas in North America which France owned had been given over to them, which did include Rupert's Island, and much of the land east of mississippi. Rupert's island was a big chunk so gaining control on that was almost like gaining control of most of Canada. Although this had happened, the French were still left with Saint-Pierre and Miquelon. The significance of this event is that a lot of land was gained by Britain which helped to create colonies ( different ones), as more conflict emerged as greater populations lived in the area, and then the colony creation led to different provinces to be created. Then Nova Scotia had split into 2 creating the colony of New Brunswick, as per how after the war there was major tension, having a lot of loyalists and traitors in the same colony. SO then the British crown, meaning the queen of Britain had finalized upon that. The significance of Russia taking Alaska was that we didn't get  it and so today it’s not a part of our northern territories.  The fact that Nova Scotia split into another colony which was New Brunswick is why today we have those 2 colonies, or we would have had Nova Scotia only. Also if the colonies would not split up then the tensions could have gone so far that they would become rebellions, or even war.

Upper Canada was above the St. Lawrence river and lower was below it. Lower had people from the France colony and then people in upper Canada were usually born British. The act was mainly because of the conflict that had occurred when the French and the British lived with each other, especially because of the different beliefs of religion and lifestyles. It was covered under the constitutional act. This way the colony of Quebec had split into 2 other ones. The constitution act had a significance because if these 2 would have not split up then we probably wouldn't have Quebec and Ontario, Manitoba, and Alberta today. This is because they were separate colonies created Ontario and Quebec or else we would only have a big Quebec. They did reunite, though they were still known differently as Canada east and west.  So the creation of Ontario created Alberta and Manitoba as Ontario was highly populated and too big to be one colony.

It was especially done  because the first nation had started giving loyalty to the British and France was losing the voyagers which helped for the trade in that area, so they were left with giving it to Britain. It gave Canada a lot of prosperity because of the resources which were present there.Gaining the northwest territories piece of land helped to gain the province Northwest territory, Nunavut and even Yukon. This was because Northwest territory had taken up all of north Canada at that time, so gaining this land  helped to populate it with Britain people and create it into a crown colony after.  Its why we have these 2 colonies today.

This helped to give Canada the name of “ Canada”, and also for the dominion to happen. So it was divided from a parallel line, so the crown had gotten all land north of the parallel whereas the Americans got the south part. The north did include many of the Vancouver islands. This had a significance because it is why today we have half of the Oregon territory and is why British Columbia looks the way that it does.

British Columbia had been discovered in the 1850’s though it had not been a crown colony as Americans, Russians, etc had been settling in that area still. Though after some time they added that small island of British Columbia and expanded into New Caledonia ( a trading  area that took a massive amount of space). This was in 1858 and the reason the crown had quickly claimed it was because of the Fraser Canyon Gold Rush as British Columbia ( the island and New Caledonia) had been alongside the river, and a lot of gold was being found there. This helped to create it a province because if Britain would have not taken control of it then it would have not been able to be a colony/ province in the dominion.

This was also called the British North America Act, and it was mostly caused because the crown had the fear of Americans expanding onto their side of the land and wanted to secure all the colonies and their loyalty as they were owned by them. In this instead of the colonies being East and west Canada, Canada east had become Quebec and West had become Ontario. This significantly had made us the country of Canada and not just a piece of land that Britain and some pieces that France owned. Also the dominion did secure our land not being America’s.

It was created because of the red river rebellions the Metis were participating in. The rebellions were caused because of how the Northwest territories had started to expand that became an issue for them, so this creation had satisfied them as the red river settlers got their own colony to expand upon. It’s significance was adding a province and also keeping the Metis settled so that they would nor continue rebellions. Maybe if this action would not be taken the firstnations would be upset till day, and many wars would still be happening between Britain and them.

It would also stop migrants from other European countries from coming, which the crown wanted, as prince Edward island was open to a lot of water around it ( and at the time usually transportation was done by boat). Besides from this event creating another colony it also helped add to Canada's prosperity because it being a part of Canada, a lot of the furs can be traded and exchanged there as it is at a water opening. When they were given this land, it was technically being returned as today the land which we gather on is there.
