Reflect on how you felt at the beginning of the year compared to now.

1) Throughout my short career at this school I have experienced many feelings such as sadness, loneliness and joy. I have been in this school for a short time, exactly 6 months, 6 months in which I have felt many ways at different times, when I entered school I felt very alone, specifically my first day of school, this was normal since I have always been very social and I have noticed that the people here are very different from me and the opposite of me, they enjoy being alone while I enjoy always being accompanied, My second day of school was difficult for me but I used the day in which I met many friends that I have now, they guided me and helped me throughout the school, Weeks after entering school I noticed that I was actually a good student and this was because in my previous school in Colombia I used to be an average student, I never paid attention, I slept in class, I never did my homework and I always fought with the teachers and here I was able to notice that I am actually very good in school since I keep all my grades at as and bs although I still have a problem to correct and that is being a little more organized since I always finish my work on time and send them very late because I was absent-minded.

Describe a project, topic, or assignment you're especially proud of.

2) The work that I am most proud of are actually 3 and they are, the story we did in pairs, the drawing of a story developed in class by preference and finally the figurative language exam and this is because in these 3 works I gave my all and did things that I generally like to do like draw, express myself to my liking and get good grades. In my first work I drew and this is something that I like to do but I almost never do, in my second work I studied hard and tried hard to get a good grade and I did well in most of my exam and finally in the third work I was able to express myself as I wanted (which is also something that I enjoy a lot) and for this I thank my new teachers because they have helped me evolve not only academically but they have also helped me for my future.

3) Outside of school I am not a person who reads much but at school we saw a short story that really captivated me because it shows cases that are seen a lot today and should not be so common in society. A topic as important as absorption is something that is very normalized today and I personally believe that this should be avoided but allowed in specific cases such as rape and abuse.(when they were planning if getting the baby or not)

4) My biggest academic challenge, which is also a personal one, has been my grades. Now that I'm in Colombia, I used to be a very bad student, but that started to change here because I realized that my future is very important to me. Since I arrived at this school, I've focused a lot on my grades, and I've grown not only academically but also as a person. I think this is very important, not only now but also for the future. I normally had very bad grades in Colombia, and this was because I slept in every class and didn't pay attention to the teachers, which led to bad grades.

5) If I had to tell a story that inspired me to continue this year it would definitely be my mom's story. A year and a few months ago I went through one of the worst experiences of my life for which I was hospitalized for about a month, the most important person to me was on a stretcher for more than 1 month, a month in which I managed to find the true value of family. I was without my parents almost every day crying in a bathroom locked up without anyone being able to help me or tell me anything, every time I heard from her I couldn't last more than 1 minute without crying, enduring seeing my mom with more than 20 tubes everywhere, every time I saw these photos my heart broke into a thousand pieces just imagining a woman who was 5 months pregnant and in such a serious condition that they had to intubate her twice I would cry and then think that it wasn't a woman but my mom.

Reflect on your hopes for junior year and beyond.

6)My greatest wish for my junior year is to be an outstanding student and to be able to please my mother with my grades so she can see the huge change I've made from Colombia to here.

This year the hardest thing I have been through has been leaving my country to come to a completely new place, better known as change. Change is something difficult to face but something very important for a person's performance.
