Timing: 75 minutes

Session learning outcomes:

Describe the importance of communicating.
Describe 4 ways of communicating.
Discuss the stages of communicating effectively

1. Acquisition Activity

Aim: Introduce the topic of communications.

Start by asking students what they know about communications, then give an overview of the topic using google slides.

Timing: 20 minutes

2. Investigation Activity

Aim: To find different ways of communicating.

Students will conduct a webquests to find at least 4 different ways of communicating. They collaborate their examples on a shared padlet.

Timing: 10 minutes

3. Collaboration

Aim: Show all the different ways of communicating.

Students will be able to view the padlet and see all the different ways of communicating, they will be able to see other ways of communicating that their peers have researced that they might not have known about.

Timing: 10 minutes

4. Acquisition Activity 2

Aim: To give an overview of the importance of communications and the stages involved to communicate effectively using google slide.

5. Wrap and check knowledge

Aim: To wrap up the session, I will create a brief summary of what has been covered at the end of the summary I will have a vevox quiz link where students an complete a short quiz to see what they have learned.
