With the Nazi's war strategy called the blitzkrieg would be really effective with against the old strategy that used in WW1. The Blitzkrieg strategy was to rush down the enemy with its vehicle in the front and infantry behind following. With this strategy the Nazis were able to quickly take all of Western Europe quickly and easily with all this confident Hitler then went for Britain. Hitler did not want Russia to attack them while taking over Czechoslovakia so they made of an offer that if Russia leaves them alone Germany will give them half of the land. Years later Germany commences with Operation Barbarossa and attacked Russia by surprise killing off a large number of their forces. One year into the war more than 500,000 Russians were killed which gave Germany hope to win but they forgot about winter. General Rommel was sent to North Africa to take it over for its oil from the middle East and the raw materials from Asia. General Rommel and his Forces failed to take over being stopped by British General Montgomery. General Montgomery was able to stop General Rommel one month after the attack at El Alamein. Japan did not want the U.S. to interfere with the war yet at the time it seemed like the U.S was not planning on joining. Japan then plans out to take our the U.S's pacific fleet by bombing Pearl Harbor on the Island of Oahu, Hawaii which killed about 2,400 sailors, soldiers, and civilians. In July Mussolini gets voted out of power by his own Grand Council and gets arrested right after the meeting by King Vittorio Emanuele. King Vittorio Emanuele then puts Gen. Pietro Badoglio into power and start to negotiate with each other. Two months after fascist leader Mussolini is put out of power Italy surrenders. With all this pressure German troops wanted to surrender but Hitler still believed Germany had a chance to come up and rise above the rest. As Hitler forced his troops to keep fighting he was in his bunker and committed suicide.
