I never knew company's purchased words and phrases. I didn't realize how important this is until after reading the chapters. furthermore, I didn't know that websites are ranked. It's more than just having pretty pictures and a great mission statement. Analytics play a huge role in a websites success or failure. Many of my friends have told me that they think it's weird that computers can know what we like based off of our history. Learning about how that works was fun and I was also surprised to see how much analysis can be done on a website as far as it's success goes. I thought spyfu was an incredibly interesting site that I plan to reference in the future.

I did not know you could check a websites keywords, clicks, competition and have it all broken down so nicely.
