1. Discussing the issue of who was persecuted during the Holocaust, who they were and why/ what happened to them by studying individual cas stories (e.g. What happened to Helene Seligmann and her family?) in order to draw comparison between how different members of society were affected by the Holocaust on a more person level in addition to broad explanations. Develops empathy in children by exploring the lives of those affected and allows for greater understanding of how the Holocaust affected a wide range of people

2. Using artefacts (“ordinary objects”) in order to reveal information about the Holocaust and uncover the stories hidden behind them.

3. Potentially expiring the differences in attitudes towards Jewish people in Germany between 1933 and 1945 (perhaps before to establish a pre-Nazi occupation perspective) against how Jews were treated in Europe or Britain through Kindertransport. Examining sources to see how relevant and accurately they depict facts. Understanding why Nazi Germany were distrusting if Jews and whether everyone in Germany felt the same way. Exploring European or British responses to this would be interesting as some children might be under the idea that every Jew that came to Britain was cared for and every Germany wanted to exterminate any non-Aryan ideal
