1. Can you specify what you mean by globalisation of media content? What does it entail?
2. Why aren't there more macroeconomic impacts of of economic convergence, based on my economic knowledge and background I assumed there would be more: e.g. the effect of online stock markets (being open to more regular consumers) and online banking increasing the efficiency of transactions....
3. The distinction between mass communication and interpersonal communication has become blurred due to the rise of communication platforms, what draws the line between the two?

User generated content (UGC) has continued to grow in the last decade, thanks to different platforms such as Youtube, Twitch, Mixer, Tik Tok....you name it, a plethora of platforms for users to share content. It almost seems like we are reaching the peak of user generated content; remixes of songs, compilations of other user generated content (like big Youtubers/Gamers), highlight reels, reviews, skits, it seems as if there is no end to it. Yet I believe that volumetric growth of user generated content is a constant factor. See, every couple few years there is a new platform for users to share content, we saw the rise and fall of Vine, MusicLy, Tik Tok is most likely on the same path, and another platform will open up, allowing more users to generate content. It seems like an endless cycle, which it is. Growth in UGC is a constant factor. The second factor is the technological enhancements that we may use, in other words, the channel that the content/message is being delivered: faster networks, increased computational capabilities of devices, in five years user generated content may look similar to what we see today but the volume of UGC and the channels it uses may very well be more advanced than we could imagine.

1. I believe movie theatres will continue to exist by 2030. I envision watching films from the available devices we already have. I think movie theatres will still exist as it is still considered a different experience watching from home and is a legitimate place where people choose to meet-up or hangout with friends or family. Given that movies come out to theatres before mainstream media, its still likely people will go there on dates or with friends.
2. I believe major broadcast networks will lose its power in the future. To determine whether they are relevant or not is difficult to gauge. People still major broadcast networks seriously and some do still watch them. However, they are losing their strength to voice their opinion. My final opinion on this matter is that in 10 years major broadcast networks may or may not be relevant, but what is safe to say is that with the current trend, which is that people are moving towards online social media and other platforms for news, we can conclude that major broadcast networks will be close to or completely irrelevant.
