Another ISTE Standard that relates to me is COLLABORATOR. My role as a teacher is to work cooperatively with others so that I may gain perspective over new ways to reach students. This means that I am exposing them to new technology that allows them to grow as students and use the technology to be successful at school. For instance, I have many EL students that have improved a great deal after teaching them how to use Chrome extensions that allow them to translate pages between different languages.
Collaborator: My second standard allows me the opportunity to share best practices with my colleagues so that I may see what works best with a diverse group of kids.
