My name is Kristy Borda and I'm a research librarian with NC State Libraries. I work with a lot of different science & engineering disciplines, and I helped create these modules so that people could get on-demand help exactly when they need it. A fun fact about myself: This year I've gotten very into birding -- and also Lord of the Rings.

For my picture, I chose one of myself, my partner, and our dog. We're sitting on the porch of my childhood home. I think this represents a lot of very important things to me -- family, animals, and (off screen) nature.

I'm Grace Thomas, a junior in biological engineering at NC State with an environmental concentration. I am a part of the REEP program with the BAE department and I will be doing research involving long term infiltration from runoff and organic contaminant transport.

In my free time I like to go sailing, hiking, hang out with friends and cook. I have lived in Raleigh my whole life and I knew NC State would be the perfect place for me to study engineering.

Hello everyone! My name is Sydney Shofner and I am a senior in Industrial and Systems Engineering. I will be in the CAMAL lab this semester working with CNC machines in the REU position! Last semester I volunteered in the lab and loved learning about the PHD students research, random material science facts I overheard and all of the capabilities of the machines in the lab.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, yoga and exploring nature. This summer I was in California for an internship and was able to visit Yosemite and the Sequoia National Parks. There was a wildfire that week, and I saw the smoke rolling in over the mountains. It was a crazy experience.
