The Triangle Factory was owned by Max Blanck and Isaac Harris. The factory has employed teenage immigrant women. These women worked 12 hours a day non-stop in cramped spaces. According to the article, Blanck and Harris had a history of factory fires, the Triangle factory had caught on fire twice in 1902 and their Diamond Waist Company Factory had also burned twice in 1907 and 1910. The Triangle Shirtwaist factory fire started on March 25th. There were 600 workers in the building when the fire began in a waste bin. The manager attempted to use a fire hose but it was unsuccessful. Eren currently lives during a period of time where giant human-like creatures aka titans roam across the earth eating humans and destroying the walls people have set up to keep them out. Eren lives in Shiganshina District a city surrounded by a 50-meter wall to protect the inhabitants from the Titans. One day, when Eren was hanging out with his friends Mikasa and Armin a giant titan called the Wall Titan breached the wall and let hundreds of titans invade the city. Many people died but the main turning point for Eren was when his mom was eaten by the smiling titan who later in the story was revealed to be a vital person in Eren´s life. Eren´s perspective changed drastically after his mother died due to the fact that he could´ve prevented her death if he had gone back for her.
Throughout the show, Eren constantly tries to kill every titan and find their origins with the survey corps.
