As Faulkner once said about the difference between the past and present, “The past is never dead. It’s not even past.” Faulkner is stating that the past never really dies because it will always be a part of our lives. I agree with this statement because the former events will always stick to both the past and the future. I believe that the past will never actually die because the present is not only going to stay the present, it will eventually turn into the past.

The fact that children, grades one through five, were involved in a mass shooting resulting in the death of 28 people, including 20 children.
