         <description><![CDATA[<div>Louis XI of house Valois, born July 3rd, 1423, died on August 30th 1483 at the age of 60. He continued the work of his father, Charles VII, as king of France from 1461-1483. He strengthened and unified France after the Hundred Years War and aided in the recovery of the economy. Throughout his reign, he maintained his focus on the prosperity of France. He&nbsp;successfully put an end to English intervention in France. Above all else, he was dedicated to rebuilding France and its churches.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
