         One thing that I love is going to the ocean and the great lakes with my friends and family. My friends and family, all swim in the ocean together and go underwater to look at the fish. But what if next time we go to the lake or the ocean I see all the animals eating plastic? Or getting caught in the plastic. I think we need to start preventing plastic in the ocean s  kids can play in the water without seeing marine animals endangered. 

        The problem is that people are throwing their trash on the ground and it’s ending up in our lakes and oceans. This is also happening because people are using too much plastic. “ Most of us use the plastic and then toss away more plastic than we need things like grocery bags, drinking bottles, straws, and wrappers.” ( “ Plastic pollution what's the problem”). This is bad because animals think it's food but it's not. “ That means discarded fishing and six-pack rings can entangle animals. Harmful straws and grocery bags can be mistaken for food.” Not just marine  creatures can be endangered land creatures can think its food too.” You might think there is nothing to worry about regarding plastic pollution but there is fish are dying and other sea creatures. 

       This is why we need to prevent plastic from getting into the ocean. By, “ picking up litter before it gets to the lakes and oceans. “ You can also look at how much single-use plastic your family uses by filling out a plastic journal for a week than talking about what you can do to use less.” This solution can help you and your family from using too much plastic this could really help plastic prevented,” We can also stop plastic from getting in the ocean because,” experts are encouraging people to look at alternatives like canvas bags and glass, metal or paper straws,”(“IN THAILAND, 17 POUNDS OF PLASTIC KILLS WHALE”).  These solutions could help a ton of marine animals from dying and our oceans.

    Senator Stabenow, Do you like swimming with your friends and family? I love to go to the great lakes, we love to swim in the beautiful lakes and catch fish. So let's help keep plastic from getting into the ocean and keep the water healthy. You can save the future of our lakes and oceans.
