So far he has only been displaying his work on instagram and sometimes sells through direct messaging. He also runs an etsy shop where he has 15 pieces of work. It is a bit difficult for him to be running the shop because it is run by one person. He produces the art, runs the account, displays the art, runs sales, and handles the shipping. So I had referred him into checking out Redbubble.com which where creators can publish their art. As well as have the company print their works into different merchandise based on the creator. That person then introduced BilldaButcher to Keith Farrell’s Cozart (Chief Keef). Chief Keef was one of the bigger rappers in the past couple of years. Keef asked Butch for a commissioned work, so Butch got to work. A couple hours later, Keef was impressed and wanted more. As the year dragged on he kept producing the works like a machine, each one unique in their own ways. Butcher ended up producing roughly 400 pieces just for Keef. With Butch being an art teacher as well he asked his classes to produce art for Keef. His classes produced multiples of drawings for the rapper which some even exceeded his expectations. When I was in Butch’s class of ‘16 he pulled me aside and asked me if I would mind working with him on a piece for Keef. I was honored to work with Butch so I said, “Of Course I’ll help you”. The project did not go through as planned though due to the artist wanting to see Butch work on it in person. I had appreciated the offer even if I wasn’t able to contribute. Overall with Butch producing all these works it truly made him bigger in the community. After the Chief Keef’s art show Butcher’s work was displayed in multiple magazines. One his pieces was even used as a cover for Frank’s 151 books.
